Alissa Brown – Maid of Honor Alissa and Sarah met in fifth grade when they started taking piano lessons from the same instructor. They were best friends throughout high school where they both played French horn in the band together. Alissa currently lives in San Diego where she attends San Diego State University and is earning a M.S. in Ecology.
Laura Sittig - Bridesmaid Laura and Sarah met in 2007 when Sarah had just moved to Chicago. They lived in the same apartment building and met one morning while walking to the bus. They’ve been best friends ever since! Laura is a PhD candidate in Neuroscience at Northwestern University and enjoys playing the cello.
Taylor Bowling - Junior Bridesmaid Taylor is Sarah’s cousin. She and Riley, her brother, live in Monrovia, IN with Sarah’s Aunt Susie and David Bowling. Taylor loves taking dance lessons and spending time with her family and three golden retrievers on NFL Sundays. She will be in the fifth grade this fall and sold a delicious 250 boxes of girl scout cookies this year!
Steve Colabella - Best Man Steve and Brian met at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. They studied abroad together in Switzerland during one semester and then became roommates at school shortly after returning from Switzerland. Steve lives in Queens, New York and is a huge Yankees and Rangers fan (let’s Go DEV-ILS!!)
Marc Witzig - Groomsman Marc is Brian’s older brother and lives in Newark, New Jersey. Marc loves soccer and hockey (love is an understatement) and is hoping to travel to South Africa for the World Cup immediately following the wedding.
Patrick Witzig (aka Patlick) - Groomsman Patrick is Brian’s younger brother and lives in Newton, New Jersey. Patrick works for Bobst Group, the same Swiss company that Brian’s dad works for. Patrick (like Marc) also loves hockey, but is a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan.
Riley Bowling - Junior Groomsman Riley is Sarah’s cousin and lives in Monrovia, IN with Sarah’s Aunt Susie and David Bowling. He is a big Colts fan (just like Sarah),but also likes to help Aunt Susie cheer on Brett Favre. Riley will be in the eighth grade this fall and is involved in student government, leadership academy, and boy scouts. Riley has enjoyed traveling to Purdue University in the summer for their Gifted Education Resource Institute, Go Boilers!
Phillip Exline - Usher Phillip is Sarah’s brother and lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After graduating from DePauw University in Indiana he enjoyed living in Indianapolis, Portland, and now Philadelphia. Phillip is working as the Assembly Manager with Branch Medical Group, opening a new facility that manufactures various spinal medical supplies. Phillip enjoys continuing his study of politics and philosophy and will be happy to strike up a conversation regarding these topics with anyone at the wedding!
Trent Junga - Usher Trent is Sarah’s cousin and currently lives in Ashland, Kentucky. Trent graduated from Eastern Kentucky University in Richmond with a Bachelors Degree in Fire Administration. He continued his education at EKU and will earn his Masters Degree in Safety, Security, and Emergency Management after he completes his internship with Marathon this May. Trent enjoys spending time outdoors (It’s a JEEP thing) and going to the Kentucky Derby each year. He is excited to show off his “usher”-like dance moves at the wedding!
Trevor Junga - Performer Trevor is Sarah’s cousin and currently attends Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He is earning his Bachelors Degree in Music Technology. Trevor has enjoyed playing many different musical instruments while growing up and will be playing the piano at the wedding. He is starting a new opportunity this summer with a group called “Key Notes” that will use music to witness to troubled teens.
Jenny Hietbrink - Performer Jenny is Sarah’s cousin Jason’s wife. Jason and Jenny are living in Omaha with their little boy Tate, and are expecting another addition to the family this year! Jenny will be singing in the wedding, we can’t wait to hear her!
